VIDEO: Strala Inspired Slow Flow

After a wee little break, I’m so pleased to be bringing you a new video! This one is special – it was filmed in beautiful Bali at the Puri Sebali Resort.

It’s a 15-minute slow flow to help you gain greater flexibility through your whole body. It’s inspired by Strala yoga so you’ll be moving with ease and approaching everything in an easy-going way. Make sure to let that feeling of ease and freedom follow you off the mat and into the rest of your day¬†ūüôā

Enjoy!

Strala workshop in June

Strala –¬†which¬†means¬†‚Äėto radiate‚Äô in Swedish –¬†is a way of being, moving and healing, that helps¬†you connect with how you¬†feel, move how it feels good, and handle challenges with ease.

This is yoga that moves far beyond poses, helping you blow past your goals and get into your dreams. It’s a freedom flow style of yoga that expands your limits and cracks you wide open to reveal your radiantly inspiring self. It was created by the world famous Tara Stiles, drawing on her background in classical ballet and choreography, as well as her long-time personal practice in yoga.

We’ll cover the main principles and techniques of this fun, liberating and intuitive yoga in the first part of the workshop.¬†We’ll then dive¬†right in to a strong Strala flow – so get ready to flow,¬†sweat and¬†find ease in your body.¬†We’ll top it all off with a guided meditation at the end to leave you feeling completely recharged and¬†glowing from the inside out.

I’m running an early bird special of ¬£20 if you pay by 11th June. After that, the¬†workshop will cost ¬£25.

The workshop is open to everyone –¬†just bring a big smile and the¬†desire to learn something new ūüôā

Spaces are strictly limited so make sure to book early to save your spot! Drop me an email if you would like to join us.

VIDEO: 15-minute ENERGISE Strala Flow

This week’s video is inspired by Strala Yoga and the¬†amazing Tara Stiles. I have created it with the beginner in mind, but it’s open to all¬†levels.

It’s a bit more fluid than the usual Vinyasa Yoga classes that I teach, but it feels really good to practice this way. By always keeping a bit of movement, I find I can open up my¬†body even more and move into all my¬†parts.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Introduction to Strala workshop

I’m so excited to be bringing Strala Yoga to Jersey! I have already started threading elements of Strala through most of my classes, but I will starting a (pure!) Strala class when I’m back from Bali in May.

To give you all a taste of things to come, I’m running an introductory workshop on 9th April at the Wellness Centre. We’ll cover the main principles and techniques of this fun, liberating¬†and intuitive yoga¬†in the first part of the¬†workshop.¬†We’ll do a few exercises to really tune in to the¬†mind-body connection and start to¬†move¬†in a different¬†way…. approaching our practice with ease where¬†the only goal is to move from your middle,¬†in every direction, with everything you’ve got!

After that, we’ll dive right in to a strong Strala flow – get ready to flow,¬†sweat and¬†find ease in your body.¬†We’ll top it all off with a guided meditation at the end to leave you feeling completely recharged and¬†glowing from the inside out.

I’m running an early bird special of ¬£20 if you pay by 2nd April. After that, the¬†workshop will cost ¬£25.

The workshop is open to everyone –¬†just bring a big smile and the¬†desire to learn something new ūüôā

Spaces are strictly limited so make sure to book early to save your spot! Drop me an email if you would like to join us.

Strala is coming to Jersey!

A few days ago, I¬†threw caution to the wind and decided on the spur of the moment to book an intensive training course with the amazing Tara Stiles! If you know who she is you’re probably as excited as I am – and if you don’t know her, please google her!¬†

Tara has developed her own brand of yoga, called Strala. I absolutely love Strala and it’s very much aligned with the way I already teach. It’s all about moving with ease, creating space and feeling good.

Strala is Swedish for “radiating light” – and that’s just how you feel after a session. Lit up from the inside. It’s designed to activate your body‚Äôs Relaxation Response and¬†reach that elusive¬†flow state. At the end of a session, you feel energized,¬†super-charged, and just ah-mazing.

The good news is that after my training course, I will be qualified to guide Strala classes. And as far as I know, I will be the only Strala guide in Jersey.

So get set for Strala classes – coming to a yoga mat near you!¬†I’ll keep you posted about my new Strala classes and will be running a workshop in April as well.

So excited to share it with you!

First Yoga Nidra workshop of 2016

I’m so exited to announce my first workshop of the year ūüôā It’s also the first workshop I’ve held at the Wellness Centre.

I teach there a couple of times¬†a week¬†and some of you will know what a beautiful, serene space it is. It’s the perfect setting to take some time out to¬†completely relax and let go…

Join us on 5th March to¬†experience the powerful, ancient practice of ‚Äėyogic sleep‚Äô.¬†During this 2.5-hour workshop your body will be guided to deeply relax as your mind stays awake and alert. This induces a complete state of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

By consciously relaxing every part of your body, one hour of Yoga Nidra is said to be as restorative as up to four hours of normal sleep.

We will explore how Yoga Nidra works and the many benefits it has to offer. This simple yet profound practice will leave you feeling completely refreshed and blissed out!

There will be time at the end for questions, over a cup of tea and refreshments.

Early bird price of £20 if paid before 27th February, and £25 after that.

Places are strictly limited so contact me to book your spot now!
